I shot the Sky Ferreira show in Vancouver tonight. Here’s one of my favourites.
Here is a promotional photo I recently shot for The Bear The Lion The Fox.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to take a workshop with photographer Chris Buck. If you’re not familiar with his work, Chris is arguably one of the best celebrity portrait photographers alive and working today. His photographs have always been a huge source of inspiration for me, so it was a real thrill to meet him, talk about photography, and incorporate his insights and criticisms into my work. Overall it was a very intensive weekend of shooting, and although I’ve been neglecting my blog recently, I anticipate there to be a lot more personal work on the way. In the meantime, here are two of my photographs from the weekend.
Last month I took part in a group photography show called The COVET Exhibition. At the opening my subject’s girlfriend, Lindsay, told me that she loved the photo of her boyfriend so much that she wanted to get it as a tattoo. Obviously, having someone get a photo of yours tattooed on them is the greatest compliment you can possibly receive, but in all honesty I didn’t think she was being serious. Well, I as you can see, she was serious. Credit to Jeremy Riley at Tattoo Union in Vancouver for doing a great job.
I will be taking part in another group photography show this Friday, November 9th at the Photohaus Gallery in Vancouver. I will be showing new work from an ongoing found photography/documentary photo series I am working on. More info is available at photohausgallery.com. Hope to see you there!
